"How Many" vs "Which"

When you ask a "how many" question - like 
   How many heifers will calve this week ?
Bovy answers with the count.
But it also shows a button you can press to show the list of those cows. 
For example :

When you click that button you see the list :

If you would have asked 
 Which heifers will calve this week ?
It would show the list right away.
